i have a weird noise coming from the rear passenger side of my car. I got my car lowered months ago, struts and springs, and now the right rear corner is making a noise when i drive diagonally on an incline, turning right only. The noise is almost like a popping sound. I do not believe it is the strut mout, because if i go slow i do not hear it. When my front mount was bad it made a different noise, no matter how slow i went.
the current noise does not occur when i drive over bumps, large or small, only when at a distinct incline on a right turn. so my question is, should i be worried about this? Am i alright if i just go slow? if anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. you guys/girls are always quite helpful, so thank you very much in advance
Is it more of a metalic sound or more of a non-metalic sound?
Check the mounts to be sure the bolts/nut are tight.
i would say this sound is not really metallic, because when my front mount was bad, it was definately a squeaky metallic sound. this is not a metallic sound. any ideas of the problem, or if this should be ok? thanks
How much of a drop do you have (inches)?...because if you have an extreme drop, the springs might be too short, causing the top hat and the top of the spring not to touch, not creating a snug fit..if you installed them your self you should have noticed this....make sure everthing is snug...you might need spacer, if that is the problem...what set up do you have
