i have a low idle misfire and i have replaced everthing from cam and crank sensor to the coils packs and plugs and wires i dont know what else it could be besides the computer and it keeps throwing a code 301 so if anyone could give me some adivce it would be great
It sounds like the computer to me but then again I am still rackin my brain about it
Always the projects and always the love
ok thats whats i was thinkin but i dont want to just throw more money at it til i know for sure that is the problemplus it has like 241k miles on it so its seen better days
Is it throwing a misfire code without it actually misfiring? Or is the low idle misfire actually occurring?

it keeps throwing the code and i can feel a lil miss in the motor at idle speed but when you give it full throtlle it does not hesitate at all
Check the vacuum lines, one of them casued a low idle misfire in mine, i don't remember off hand which one it was.
this is on a 96 cavy and it 2nd gen
A 96 is a 3rd gen. 2nd gen ended in 1994.

Exactly why the code 301 and cam sensor seemed strange, since 2nd gens don't have either.

You'll probably get some good input in 3rd gen and performance.
