I just blew the head gasket in mine...@}->- so i guess I know what i'll be doing over the holidays. The question is the damn computer has gone out, it was out when i bought the car 6 months ago. put a new one in and it went out right before the engine over boosted and blew the head. Any thoughts on what is frying the computer? is there any common culprit I should look at first? ALso am in need of the window belt seals. any lines on any cheap ones for an 88 convert. and the front Pontiac emblem,,,damn that is tough to find

As for the ecm I do not know of any specific symptoms that would cause it to burn ur new ecm?And the window rubber I assume on the outside that goes against the window glass is probably not avail anymore like on all 1st gens and is called a window sweep for correct terminology.I would only think maybe a bad connection or ground that would have shorted out on the ecm maybe.Ok
