So I have an 88 Grand Am with the 2.0 turbo
Ive put a FMIC 21/2in exhaust from the turbo back and uped the boost to 13lbs
I know these cars have 165hp stock
I was wondering on the average what Im pushing now and what eles I have to do to be at 250 or 275 hp
possilby up the internals, i.e pistons, rods, cams, barrings, uk, aleast make everything stronger so you can up the boost more?
Better exhaust and larger throttle body will help, along with larger injectors / pump, and tools to burn chips / tune ecm. The head doesn't flow well and the cam is mild so the only way to get more air / power is to keep increasing boost. And imo the stock calibrations I've seen for the LT3 deliver too much fuel due to non-intercooled OE engine and they're too aggressive with spark timing.
