Ok here is the deal. My buddies 2nd gen cavy, 2.2, 5-speed, 4-door shut off on him and wont start. Just cranks and we believe its gettin fuel cuz we can smell it out the exhaust. It has no problem cranking, just wont start, and we believe its a ignition issue. I think it might be the ICM or coil packs. The car has 118,000+ miles on it. Anyones $.02 would be appreciated.

check the crank sensor as well

I ran into my old shop teacher last night and talked to him about it. He was saying its proboly the ICM and if it was the crank sensor we proboly wouldnt be gettin fuel cuz the ECU wouldnt know when to pulse the injectors. I was gonna go and tinker with it last night too, but my buddy said he gettin it towed to a shop to get fixed. So i guess this thread is dead unless u guys want an update about what the problem was.
