Ok I'm at wits end. I have a 93 Z24 5-speed with a 3.1L. I just put an EGR solenoid in to fix my a problem with my idle. The car will try to fix itself and then go back to a rough idle. I took it to school to try and fix it and now it idles fine and wants to stall everytime i come to a stop. I seriiously about to blow this car up. Don't get me wrong i love my car, I have over 5000 invested into it. If anyone has any idea what it is please let me know.

i had this problem with my 95 monte carlo "auto tho" 3100 turned out to be my MAF sensor plug was loose u should check that it could be that or the MAF is bad 1 of the 2

"mass airflow sensor" get some brake cleaner unplug it clean it and make sure its dry when u put it back in and it might fix it if the maf is the problem not the connector

but same symptoms driving it was fine as long as i was give it gas but stop it would idle down realy low chug a little and die

gm didnt use a maf on the 3.1l. 86-88 v6 cars had a maf then they went away from it till 95.

have you tried cleaning out the idle air controll passage and the motor??? quite often it gets plugged with carbonand will cause a rough idle.

thanks for the correction sharkey it was one of the damn plugs into the throttle body didnt realy know what it was called so i guess thanks again

Might also want to check out the speed sensor.
