got a 91 z24 being a bastard. it started backfiring out the throtle body occasionally when you started it, but you could shut it off and restart it and it was fine. It got to were it wouldnt run at all. I changed the fuel pump and it ran great for about 15 minutes(not been started in a few months) & started the same crap. Now the starter solenoid clicks real loud and the motor turns over real slow. Anybody have any ideas. last I checked it wasnt throwing any codes. Could solenoid or starter be grounding and trying to short sh!t out. Will a computer out of a 88z24(electric gauges work) work.
Car has me confused. I got it running good withuot throwing codes and then it started this. Any help would be appreciated, I'm out of ideas.
check the fuel filter clean connections on battery and starter "starter might be bad if turning slow also check oil incase its low and u might have froze a piston in the block and its grabbing the walls making it crank slow "had this on my motorswap that the oil plug fell out...somehow on the test drive shut if off when pressure light went nuts but was to late was froze but some 2cycle motor oil down the plug holes that got er going again thats about all i can ofer it might be right or WAY off lol
Its got a brand new fuel filter, battery terminals been cleaned, and its not locked up. dealt with all that sh!t earlier. not got to starter yet,on the to do list. any more ideas
Got the starter turning the motor good and the clicky noise left. the starter wire was loose, but its backfiring out the throttle body and the tail pipe.
