hey whatsup guys, i got that new 93 sunbird, new motor, yeah yeah yeah.... anyways it has a rear sway bar, and i was wondering, do they come stock with a rear sway bar? my 94 didnt have one but this 93 does. suprisingly it has more options then my 94, such as more wiper speeds, tilt steering, sunroof, alloy wheels, suspension? they were both LE birds tho. please post and let me know if thats stock. thanks, ill post pics of her later.

there are 3 different suspention option packages. an fe1, the base package, came with a 26mm front and no rear bar. the fe2 had a 28mm front and 17mm rear, and the fe3, wich was the sport springs and struts, and 30mm front and 21mm rear bar.
typicaly, this is how they stacked up
-a cavy cl/vl or bird le got the fe1
-a cavy rs 4 cyl and bird se got the fe2
-a cavy v6 rs or z24 and the bird gt got the fe3
i may be out a bit on those numbers, but i think im pretty close.
what about a 94 sunbird se? they didnt make the gt in 94 but they look the same besides the dual exhaust i thought.
now that i think of it my brothers 93 gt has a stiffer ride than mine but my old 92 z didnt feel any different than my sunbird.
stiffness is gonna depend on wear. worn out struts will make any car not handle good, and something with less of a suspention will handle better. also not all those cars came with that specific suspention package. there were le and vl cars will fe2 suspention, and the same with rs/se cars could have fe3 or fe1aswell. the z24/gt always got the fe3 suspention, couldnt get them any other way.
well mines a 93 bird LE, yet it has the rear sway bar..... i think that the guy might have swapped fe3 onto it cause it handles pretty good and the springs and struts look way better then the 94 bird i got... hmm makes me wonder what else is done to it.

the 30 mm front bar is pretty much only on the cimmaron and a select few other cars... it's too big of a front bar for a 21 mm rear bar even.. I'd run the 28 mm or 26mm bar to promote less understeer.
The LARGEST rear sway though AFAIK is the addco aftermarket which is 1" IIRC. I'd get that rear bar, and then get the front OEM subframe brace and strut tower bar (look in my profile)
The 30mm is on all FE3 cars, which includes all Zs, and most of the 3.1 RS models.
The Mantapart 26mm bar is .6mm larger than the Addco....... but, would never be noticeable, even to the finest of drivers. That, and Mantapart sucks.
