motor just went out on my 89 conv z24. anyone know how to get to the motor? or where i can get a new or good used one?
In my '90 sunbird, its behind the back seat.

motor is quite stout so make sure it's not a blown fuse or bad switch first. It's behind the seat in the trunk on all convertible jbodies
in my 88 cav i just had to remove the big dumb divider in the trunk, the one that cuts the storage space in half, and it was right behind the back seat, little guy it is
You could look for a good used one in a local boneyard or pull-a-part. As Protonus said they are usually tough little units. Did it act up before going out? Or was it a sudden failure?

i say skip the motor just take it all off............
