Hey I have an extra intake manifold in the garauge so I am going to take the top part with the throtle body on it and clean it and paint it... and put it on my car... is there any little tweeking or anything that might help with power a little... I know nothing I do will be noticable.... but while I have it a part I would do any tweaking and stuff if there is anything I can do....

This might be a stupid question so dont be to harsh... I was just wondering!!

anytime you can consume more air then you may gain horsepower. All though a funny thing is if you consume to much air your air/fuel ratio will be shot so you in some sense have to even it out. For example the stock 99 Mustang GTs have a fuel to air ratio of 8-1 when you air a cold air intake they lose horsepower. kinda funny huh

There really isn't much you can do with the stock upper IM, short of boring out the TB. The lower IM can be polished and gasket matched to the head if you want. That will gain some HP.
