I haven't heard of one yet so please post your's if you have one!
Well I'm about almost done making the short throw shifter for the Sinbird. It started life as an extremely neglected shifter assembly from the yard. I know most people just hack-saw the top but I kept it a little bellow the stock height.
I shortened the avtual shifter rod above the pivot point by about 3/4" and then lengthened bellow the pivot point by about the same. Since that would caused the front-to-back cable to rub against the side-to-side I raised the side-to-side bracket 3/4"at the top where the shifter rod mounts. After all of that I chopped the top by only about an inch. All-in-all it does only sit about an inch lower but the throw is les than half of what it was stock. I also made it so that the shifter sits about 2" further back in 1st gear.
I'm happy

I'm going back now and cleaning up my welds. and painting it. I'll have pictures of that later today.
One of the big reasons that I wanted to take away throw from the shifter was that I needed more clearance for my flip-out TV screen. I'm working on the dash face jsut above the center console to hold the TV, an extra DVD player and my three autometer ultra-lite gauges (fuel pressure, boost and nitrous pressure.) I'm trying to make it all look as stock as possible when it is all done. I'll be tecturizing the paint and spraying it stock colors.
Up in the top of the dash where the HVAC controls are I am adding a second 5.5" screen flush into the dash and nitrous switches (bottle warmer and arming.)
I have my AEM wideband mounted as well.
Anyway... more updates later!
