I was wondering what a 1/4 mile run for a stock 2.2 second gen cavi would be?

Very slow, try 0-60 in 11 seconds and 1/4 mile in 20 sec if i'm not mistaken.

^^ ive seen stock quad Z's spank 3.1's..

i owned both my 94 3.1 5 speed z with ported heads, intake and a muffler, new motor, vs my 02 Z, and the 2.4 walked away.

and I have seen some stock 3.1's walk quads. Point? there is no point, its a never ending battle of wether a 3.1 is faster than the quad 4, or the quad 4 faster than the ecotec. IMO both z's are the same and the eco is just a tad bit slower

It all depends on if the quad's headgasket is blown yet or not

thats why ive got the very last month of the quad, IE twin cam.

my stock 02 ran low 15's and the 94 ran high 15's..... and ive got 100K on the quad, and its been boosted sence 28K....

but i do miss the tourqu of my old 3.1

boosted quad... that is still my dream engine. I had an olds cutlass calias with one of the first quad 4 engines in it. I loved that engine, wanted to mount a turbo and everything. The car rotted out underneath the engine.

ya, most people dont understand there is a diffrence between the LO, SOHC, HO, W-41,
and LD-9.

my friend has a w41 in a 96 Z-24, with a t-3\t4..... the only thing holding him back now is the E-Prom.

still red lines at 6400, and it wants to pull hard way past that.

well... we have Timing belt... vs timing chain....

hahah 160 K miles... orginial timing chain on the 2.2....

Ive heard sooooo many good things about the performance of a quad motor...

and seen soooooooo many bad things about the mechanics of one....

i'll take the 3x00 swap...

plus 3400s are like low 14s stock right??? just imagine that with internals and forced induction and some NAWZZZZZZ hahahahahaha =P

I'm looking into the 3400, unfortunely I need to find a donor 2.8/3.1 car since I have the 2.2.

the quads have a timing chain, never let you down. At least mine did.
