Well, on my sunbird, I am planning on running the turbo oil feed directly from the oil pump so I went out into the shed today to have a look at it. There are 2 bolt/plugs in the oil pump assembly, one on the left and one on the right(if you are looking directly at it from the front). I figured on using the one on the left because it is right next to where the oil filter, and oil pressure sensor is. Let's see if this will load....
Anyway, I had figured on using -4 AN stainless steel braided hose for the oil supply line. I can see that I will need some type of adapter fitting to go from the thread size of the plug in the oil pump in order to step it down to the desired -4. Here is a shot of the plug...
Anybody know what size threads these are? I went to the local parts store to see if I cold match it up to one of those thread identifier display thingies but had no such luck cause it's too big. The guy at the counter used a digital micrometer, and it is bigger than 1/2 inch so i'm guessing that it is somewhere in the vicinity of 3/4 NPT??? Any help/information is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul Moore
