its a split pin you have to take some small screwdrivers and pull up two little catches on the ouside sleeve, then the inner pin will come out.
and the belt just use a serpentine belt tool or make one (i cut some slots on the side of a socket then taped it to a long wrench.) pull the tensioner down and the belt will come right off.
I'm assuming seat belt, since you're talking about a door here. Its bolted on with Torx bolts (T55 IIRC). You need to remove the door panel and you'll see them.
Yes, but what about getting the belt through the door panel? When you take off the torx bolts the belt comes off but the mechanism is still on, how can I thread it through my old door panel? Does that make sense? the replacement door has a blue panel, my stock one is grey.

At the top of the door panel? You need to remove the little trim panel around the belt. It snaps off and there is a steel "ring" around the belt. The bottom one is a trim panel with one screw holding it on. Once you remove that, there is a slot to slide the belt through.
Whoops, i was thinking about the engine belt
but yeah just remove the little trim plates around the belt and it will slide through a slot in the door panel.
