phase 1 tail light Q?

This is kind of a weird question but anyways, lol How do the tail lights work on teh phase 1 cavy's? like how do they light up when braking and signaling, when you brake do bothe the top and botom half light up and when signaling bothe top and bottom half flash, or what.
I need a turning stalf off a phase 2 cavy to get my tails to work properly and I was just given a Z24 5 speed with a black interior and a 2.8 and I was curious if I could use the turning stalk from it.
The guy never said what year it was and I havent even seen the thing yet I'm assuming its a phase 1 second gen. I dont know what I'll do if its a first gen Z theres no way I could strip it and send it off to the scrap yard, I'd have to put a second car on the road, lol. Or build a 3.1 turbo
The only thing wrong with it is the guy stripped a spark plug hole so he put the spark plug in with some JB weld and it held for three months before it blew out, lol so its running on 5 cyl but its free and if its a 2G its just going to the wreckers, I'll part it out locally or for pick up if you need anything, I'm not good with shipping.

Its actually a 1990 Z24 with a 3.1 and its really rotten, I'm surprised the doors dont fall of when you open them, lol but the interior is mint
I'm just going to strip it and scrap it, my cousin is taking pretty much everything off the car that I dont want for his 89 Z24 and his wifes 88 Z24, so at least the car isnt a total waste.
