I originally wanted a Supercharger for my car, an 89 Z24 Vert. But a turbo will be easier to install and work with. My question is what typ eof Turbo did you buy for your 2nd Gen Ph 1 Z? Thanks.
probably a GTP turbo... manifolds and what not should be the same...
you can always do a Rear Exit turbo. a guy on V6Z24.com has one on his Z, and there was a cobalt at the bash with one.

YEah I saw the rear Exit turbo, but I do not want to replace my FLowmnaster muffle rI just got installed.
I have a T4 P trim .68 A/R turbine with a 60-1 compressor. It's too big for any stock/close too stock 3.1 turbo applications, but..
On the turbo wagon, we put a T3 .48 stage 2 turbine with a T04E 46 trim compressor. Matches the 3.1 quite well.
You can also use a T3 60 trim compressor as well as a T3 super 60, should work.

the Phase 1 Gen 2 Cavies are all 2.8's the 3.1 didn;t coem out till 91. But since the 2.8 and the 3.1 are basically the same engine, I suppose that woudl work.

the 2.8 lasted untill 1989...
in 1990 the cavalier came with the 3.1 and lasted untill 94.
in 92 they went to the MPFI for the 2.2's... so up untill 91 they were TBI

T-3 .48 turbine, 60 compressor, I think its the best for a high output motor, I'm looking to be pushing over 20 psi
well Ive got a t3 .48 turbine with a 60 compressor for cheap 250.00 plus shipping itd a great turbo no shaft play and it spins freely I was going to use it on my sunbird but it took a dump on me so I need money to fix it thats why its so cheap

He's talking about a phase 1 Z24, read the first post. 2200's didn't even ever come in a Z24, especially not a phase 1.

I have a 2.8, which will soon have the 3400 topend in it. Looks like i may just have to wait to see what I can install.
