I've switched to a 3 BAR MAP sensor. Tonight was the first run at 15.7 psi. No check valves or boost bleed valves, just an ecm commanded 15.7 psi. Felt good!

pull hard on ya? 15 pounds is a pretty good psi level for a jbod... loven it!
...
I didn't realise the stock ecm could handle such boost. You are running stock arent you?
The ecm is stock, but the chip isn't. With the changes for correctly reading the new MAP sensor, and the changes to the boost related tables, I was at calibration #21. After some driving today I noticed a little knock sensor activity as boost rose past 13 psi. I'm now at calibration #22 with the newest changes to the timing tables.
The changes I've made to use the 3 bar sensor are similar to the "Ultimate Chip" or "Ultimate 3 BAR Chip" for the GMC Syclone / Typhoon. After all, it's the same ecm.
Yes, it pulls hard. Too hard. I'm having trouble wiping the smile off my face. I can just imagine trying to look really, really sorry if I get pulled over while I'm grinning from ear to ear.

hahaha. i had the same problem when i got caught racing down the interstate and was clocked at 130... some how i got away with it and he told me to drive safe and slow down. lol. i laughed the whole way home. it was great!
...
Damn, do you have pics of your boost setup?
Wow! It was fast when I rode in it! Now its even faster! How does the wife feel?

You rode in the slow car.
It's up to almost 8 psi now. I probably won't go any higher with boost on that one unless I install an intercooler.
I turned the boost up on "my" car, the Sunbird.
Wifey feels that I should quit messing around with her car. She said something to one of her friends about wanting to drive a car where the computer wasn't dangling under the dash. I said "But honey, I'm only trying to get the best mileage." She snapped "So keep your foot off the gas pedal!"

I'll take some pics of the 'bird engine. It looks like a stock turbo Sunbird except that a couple of hoses go the wrong direction.

I too have his 3 bar MAP setup and can say I love it! It sure beats the MAP bleed I used to use. Bless you, bless you!
Now jack up that boost as high as I have it and see who scatters rods on the ground first!
First one to drive over his own engine internals is King! Ha ha ha.
