Man i started to change my Cat today and it looks like good'ol Sunbird92 (as my friends would say) is being DIFFICULT. so i am going to drop the whole exaust. two bilts compaird to six.
Should be 2 at the headpipe, two on the muffler, and a welded hanger in the middle.

actualy there are only two nuts and thats on the header. the mufflier is the tail pipe, its welided on. so here are my steps foe my operation
1. use impact gun to remove the head nuts and springs
2. remove exaust sustem from car
3. cut the 6 bolts that hold the Cat on the pipe (betwen the flanges) . and discard the Cat
4. punch out the old nut and drill out the rust with the same size drill bit
5. reinstal the exaust system peace by peace.
Question can i use a little silicone to hold the askets inplace while i install the new Cat.
thanks
