they have the same bellhousing right, so how hard will it be to put in a 2.2 auto and how will it affect performance
The 2.2 auto has a different valve body than the 3.1 auto, so the shift points will be off somewhat. It is a direct bolt on though.
sorry to jack the thread but will the 5 speed isuzu tranny hold the v6 engine if so how much power can it handle
it can barley handle the stock 3.1 power, if you beat on it don't expect it to last long at all. A few people have done it tho but have had speedo probs

There are people running the isuzu 5 speed on 3400 swapped cars without trouble so apparently its pretty tough.
my fault it was 4am last night,but the stock 2.2 clutch can't hold the 3.1 power i've seen some pics of the pressure plate blown into pieces and clutch. but with a good clutch it can hold,but theres speedo probs
