The engine is a 2.2. How can i remove the water pump pulley bolts without having the pulley turn? Also what size are the bolts?
I always use the belt style of oil filter removal tool. (The more pressure you apply, the tighter it gets)

i just break them loose with the belt still on and then take off the belt off and hold the pully with one hand wile i take the bolts the rest of the way off
their is three 13mm bolts, just put the wrench on them and give each a jerk to break them loose, then remove the belt and they should come out pretty easy...

The belt oil filter tool was spot on----it worked great. I also discovered that practically everything is 13MM, except the power steering pump which is 10mm and very difficult to remove.
The next question is about the serpentine belt; Is there a trick to getting it back on? My 15mm socket and ratchet will not fit---not enough space. How far to you have to move the tensioner to get the belt back on?
pull the tensioner forward with ur hand towards the front abit then get a wrench on it and push it down as far as u can . have all the belt one except the alt . thats works the best for me
slamming 2 gen cavi
i've pushed the pulley as far as it will go and still can't get it on. Could i, perhaps, have the wrong belt? It says GM 10045154 UBJ 5PK2100EB on the belt. BTW i have A/C.
Or you can take a really big screwdriver, jam it behind the pulley and push down so it puts pressure on the pulley, then just take the bolts out.
OK, it turns out i had the wrong (too short) belt. Apparently, i have "dealer" air conditioning(?) Dayco # 5050845 will work. Anyone needs a GM 10045154 UBJ 5PK2100EB belt, i sell it to you cheap$5 you pay shipping. Brand new never used.
Now my next problem is there is now an awful, intermitant creaking sound that i'm pretty sure is the power steering pump that was not there before i put this new belt on. Could this be due to the new belt?
The only other work i did was install a new belt tensioner, water pump and alt which meant i had to remove the power steering pump.
