Hi Board-

I just replaced the front e-brake cable on my 84 after a few hiccups. It was not working for about 8 years. I am reading how to adjust it and am having yet another problem. The brake lever does not Click / ratchet anymore when you raise the brake handle. You have to play with it to get it to lock. Is it just worn out or do I need to tighten it some more before this works properly?

Please Advise.

Let me do some research and I will see if maybe u are doing something correct.I have like 2 books and a online manual with chiltons.I know the clicks u are talking about and the quote rachet sound feel OK

It just needed to be tightened.

It is solid now...
