how do i remove the center console, my heatercore is dead. and im tryin to remove the center console.. the main reason is the shift knob(4cyl auto) how do i remove the shift knob.

Owning a 4spd manual here,but I am going to think there should be a alan wrench head screw probably in the handle.look closely to see if it has one in it I would bet it does underneath where ur fingers would grab the shifter.That's the best I can guess without puling out my manuals.Worst case u may have to unbolt it from the transmission itself.I think with auto u prolly have to unbolt it from the tranny just thinking about it now.Hope this helps u consider the options.

the shifter will have a U shapped clip comming in from the dash side at the base of the handle. pull the clip out with a small screwdriver and itll pull off.
