Ok - well, since the car has been away, I have been shopping. I acquired an intercooler of of a Buick GN. Should hold the 12lbs I am putting out right now and bring the temps down no problem (with room for increase to 20 lbs if I end up going there)
It is not the route most turbo folks are going, but then again, neither is my 1.8 (most go with the 2.0).
Now I just have to plumb it
Added a Greddy BOV and the flange pipe to the pile o stuff to go on...
Hi, I have an 84, my exhaust manifold (turbo) has been repaired, and has cracked again. Any ideas if there are any aftermarket ones available? Or if there are any OEM's?
Used, good condition?
Thanks, Doug
Doug, swap to a turbo 2.0 exhaust manifod. they're all over ebay. They're cast and far stronger. I've been hanging a 5 pound adaptor block and a larger T3 turbo off mine with no bracing for years.
Paul: got pics of the setup?
Doug, I have a few around if you'd like to buy one.. was just getting ready to throw them on ebay.
Paul, sounds good.

Can you send me a picture of it? How much? Thanks
Jim-
I just have pics of the parts - the car will be back from the body shop soon. Then I have to do the clutch and the intercooler/bov install. I am gonna play with that for a while, then probably go for a bigger turbo, but my Camaro is itching for a rebuild, so we will see.
Paul
The car is back from the body shop - see separate thread. Ran into trouble while getting interior back together.
Here is the To Do List:
1) Fix floor rust
2) Reinstall Interior
3) Install new clutch
4) Plumb Intercooler / bov
5) Enjoy the heck outta it.
minion, are there any of those turbo manifolds left?
