Does anyone knw where I can get a dipstick for my transmission. It's a 4 spd. getrag/muncie.
the dipstick is right under the brake boster its way down there (about half an arm length) you have to look for it, but its there, I have the same year cav with the 4 spd, make sure if it is low that you put 5w30 oil in it, it even says so in the stick. You might not want to go after it when its been running, it gets hot in there
You clearly misunderstood his post.He is asking where can he get a replacement dipstick for the transmission,not how to check it or where it's location is.We all make goofs and misread things.
ooops! my bad, I did misread it, well atleast if someone has a hard time finding the location, they'll know wher to look, I know I was shocked when I found mine
have you tried www.car-part.com ? it is a data base of junkyards maybe even one in your area, you might be able to find something there
