my transmission just took a crap on my i lost all drive gears and found allot of nasty mettal chunks in the pan. i have a sunbird 86 1.8L OHC non turbo i was wondering if i the 5 manual has the same bolt pattern as my auto. i recall a conversation like this but cant find it. i currently know of a 5spd that i can get cheap. any help would be great.

If it is anything like the manual 2.0 engine, the two transmissions are not interchangeable without changing the block.
