this came out of my sunbird. jus rebiult it . bored 40 over. port polish and shaved the head, forged pistons 3 angle valve job. new valves,spings and valve locks.

If they're not fully seated they can pop loose. My dad overhauled engines for 30 years and saw some nasty messes, such as my '84 when the rod bearings went
this makes me wish I'd taken pictures of the timing chain on my '86 2.8 when it went out. The chain had about half an inch of slop in it, the cam gear skipped three teeth and what was left of the damper was in the oil pan! Believe it or not it still ran!!

I have a set of turbo 2.0 pistons to spair and another complete bottom end to a manual 2.0 turbo....... but neither are 0.040" over....

well, i cant see the picture, but this really freaks me out.
im currently building my motor and had it bored .50 over.
mabye ill get a shop to put it together...juust in case....
