I've got an '87 wagon that has disintegrating window channel weatherstripping. Does anyone know of a source for replacement? It's been discontinued by GM and I've looked online and in JCWhitney to no avail.
Currently there are NO aftermarket weather strips available, crap right.U are talking about the plastic trim piece with the rubber that goes up against the outside of the glass,we all have searched for new reproduction stuff, its just not there as of yet.
Forgive me- I forgot who here on the .org passed this information along to me.
Metro Molded Parts. They have some universal type weatherstripping that may work. This is becoming a problem for us First gen guys, as many of the parts are discontinued and the aftermarket really isn't coming to our aid
Also, you could try another place to see if they have a close match.

I had the same problem but through my junk yard searches, I have found that alot of doors from the early 90s gm 1st gen have the same mirrors and window weather stripping as the mid 80s J-bodies
You just have to cut out a couple little strips so it will fit down tight when you push it on. (I used a dremmel tool with a cutting wheel disk on it. )
