Factory original guys might want to jot down this number in order to get a free copy of Chevrolet's past model information for your car.
1-800-222-1020
They will send you a mailer with a complete listing of specifications, options, weights, and other valuable info on your specific year Cavalier (or other Chevy for that matter)
I just got mine and I'm stoked. It has original tire sizes, the specs on heads and valvetrain options, transmissions & final drive ratios, etc.
My father suggested I try calling them. We've used this service before when restoring his 56 Chevy, and 71 Nova...but I didn't think they would have them for a Cavalier. Well, they did for an 86 at least.
Give them a shot! Its free!!!!!

You might not be able to tell, but that booklet is a direct copy from the original manual GM filed with the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association of the United States in July of 1985. It is specific to the Cavalier series.
I hope to scan this and host it on my website at a later date.
