axle hub

I was just wondering how hard is it to replace the axle hub where the lug nuts screw onto? Also does anyone have a driver-side Z24 sideskirt and rear lower trim hangin around? Thanks

Hub is actually easy to replace. Problem is (?) from the list of body parts you need, that you musta whacked something "really" hard. If that's the case, better check & see if axle itself isn't bent. Might even find a good used axle assy. in junkyard for less than a new hub would cost :>

Well in some aspects I wish I did whack something because that would mean I was driving the car already. I just obtained a 1987 Z24 off my neighbor. The car has some rust but not as much as id thought it to have for sitting in their backyard for 6 years. The hub is missing screws for the lugnuts because they rusted off. The car is missing the drivers side skirt and the Z24 rear trim on the bumper is broken . Don't know if the car runs yet but if it doesnt I hope to get it running.

Anyone replace the headliner in their car?, would a 2nd get headliner fit in a 1st gen. Thanks

"The hub is missing screws for the lugnuts because they rusted off."

" IF" by screws you mean the studs that the lugnuts spin onto, these can be replaced. Big hammer...bang on old stud :> drive out old ones. Line-up splines in new ones, and use a lugnut with washers under it and draw/pull stud(s) back into hub. Look behind hub face to see if the studs are "ALL" the way in. All done, cost less than dinner at BK.

Headliners cost $60-100 to have done at a shop. You can repair yours if the adhesive is gone, but it usually involves a can of 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive and a lot of mess.

A used one from a 1st gen should fit, but most likely it will sag, too after a year or so
