I have two 87 cavaliers, a RS and a Z24. They both have digital gauges and everything works on them, except the tachs. Neither of them work. Has anyone else had this problem or know what the problem might be?

Thanks, Ive heard that alot. Is my best bet just mounting a after market tach. I have a leed on another gauge cluster, but if these things are that falty I might 96 that idea. I have alot more questions on the 87 Z24. I just bought one for $250, and it was well worth the money. I would like to restore it back to the stock look with upgraded performance. Anyones help would be great. I know quite a bit about pre-70's cars but Im new at this venture.
