do first gen convertibles have rear speakrs and if so where, someone told me they don't have them and someone told me they did, i can get a good deal on 6 by 9's thanks!

yes, they have 6 by 9's in the rear side covers...the panels that cover the top linkage next the the seat...as for the speakers, just look around local audio store crutchfield etc...

You'll have to pull the side panels off, but be careful. 20 year-old fiberglass & plastic likes to crack! The speakers are held on by the fabric-covered plastic grilles by 4 little nuts.

I put rockford phosgate 6x9s in my 84. They sound awesome. I have the sony 3.5s in the dash, the rp 6x9s and a 10" powered kenwood sub in the trunk. It sounds perfect.
i have a 84sunbird conv. and i already have my rear speakers in ..but i was wonderin, i bought some 10's and do any of you guys kno how id make it to wear it would sound good on the inside and not just rattle my trunk?
