I swear, so-called "car guys" seem to love complaining about cars they don't like, rather than appreciating them for what they are. I would love to have an early pre-face lift first gen Cavalier in mint condition. I'm sure it would get tons of attention. People like to rag on the 1st gen Escort too, but the short time I had one, people would always want to talk about it (I had an '85 pre-facelift Escort in 2013ish, kind of a rare sight).
