Since I always have such a WONDERFUL time dealing with the caliper bolts with the torx head, I'm hoping someone here has replaced them with normal head bolts so they can use a socket on them.
I've looked at NAPA and there doesn't seem to be a way to cross-reference the part to get ones without the torx head, and the new ones foolishly have the torx head I'm trying to get away from.
Length - 2.55"
pin diameter - 0.43"
Thread Size - M11-1.5
The only other style you can use are Allen bolts because the outside head of the bolt also doubles as part of the caliper slide. When I replaced one of my calipers it had Allen bolts instead of torx.
90 and later uses the allen head bolts H5052 is the Carlson number.
Great Idea - I always have hated the torx bolts...
Would be if the only other option wasn't Allen bolts, I like that idea even less than torx
