I want to hear about that Chevette. I bought a NEW one in 85.
That Chevette looks to be the 1st of the bunch - '76 or '77. Loved those little go buggies - none of them had enough power to get them in any trouble...Hahaa. Early ones had lousy clutch plates though.
.
Nice, I see 2 x cavs there with the passenger side Mirror delete panel, I have only ever found one of these. snatched it up off a 84 type 10 hatchback that was rolled in a field. so happy I got it, one of the rare parts I plan to use on my wagon.
my 87 cavalier, start, best, and worst. also pictured would be my 90 cav 4-door, 3.1L 5-speed.. miss that car...
My 02 cav that I did a pile of motor work to and ended up twisting last winter.
the 83 Cimarron,
a 95 sunfire that came to me, didn't look like this when I got it...
and an 00 sunfire...
the fleet continues with another 02, lol
so far I have scrapped an 87 2-door cav, (pictured above) an 86 2-door cav , an 83 Cimarron, a 90 cav 4-door (pictured above), an 89 2-door sunbird, a 94 4-door cav, 95 2-door sunfire, and a 96 2-door cavalier.
up next on the chopping block... (pictured above) 2 x 02 4-door 5-speed cavaliers, a 00 4-door sunfire (pictured above), and the 90 cav wagon.
that's it for now...
Hugh, that Chevette was at a tow yard when my 86 was totaled. Never had a Chevette but my older sister had a 79 back in the early eighties.
My '89 Wagon:
Built it from a rusted out, blown up engined and transmissioned derelict my sister destroyed.
Pretty much tore down to just the uni-body & built it back up from that.
My '91 Coupe:
Another castaway from my sister. The oil gauge read low & she wanted it gone, turned out to be a bad oil sender, LOL !
Rust got the better of this one.
My '92 Z24:
HO 3.1, 5-speed manual, Eibach springs, dual exhaust, Koni struts and shocks
FAST ! Handled like it was on rails.. Used to go out and look for Camaros to race with back in the day.
Every one had a special place in my heart...!

I have only had one J in my life
