Old School fix for Door Sag

Thought I'd post this as another one of my Country Bumkin car fix suggestions.

Been doing this one most of my life on all makes and models. This does work especially well on Coupe Bodystyles where the long heavy doors start to droop and eventually have a difficult time closing. Simply pick up 2 washers for each of the bolts that attach the door to the hinge. ( Obviously - this ain't gonna work on welded hinges) Unbolt all of the LOWER hinge bolts and lift up the door and place on some blocks of wood at the bottom of the door - (back at the trailing bottom edge where the striker is at) to create some space between the hinge and door. ( Don't touch the upper hinge at all) Carefully place the washers in the bolt as you move the bolt into position to be threaded in and just start the bolt a couple of turns. Repeat the rest and remove blocks and tighten the bolts down. You probably will have to adjust the striker . Did this to the '98 Coupe and the door closes smoothly every time!!

Easy and Super Cheap.
