Interesting. Really like watching old crash test videos.
Times have certainly changed.
Ouch.
I was in a crash in an 86 Cavalier and the driver crushed te steering wheel - just like in the video. It doesn't look like we quite got the five star rating...

It appears the seat backs don't lock up and just keep going forward and help push the dummies into the wheel and dash. Quite interesting and might be something worth looking into fixing.
I just hope that if I hit a wall at 35 MPH that I have enough strength in my neck to stop my face from hitting the steering wheel like that!!!!!!
Cosmetic surgery is expensive!
None of us had belts on in my accident and both front occupants went into the windshield. The passenger went into the a pillar. I wish I could find those pics. I was in the back. My leg caught between the console and driver seat and I hyperextended my knee.
Ouch!

I hope I never happen to be a crash example such as what Paul has been through!!
This one give you similar thought to pause....... - 59 Bel Ail vs 09 Malibu. Very Dramatic.
Bel Air driver would die instantly - Malibu driver would limp away.

One of the earliest ones from Milford that they still show at the VSCL is a 30s Chevrolet being run down a hill into a tree. The driver "Ghost Rides" it at the last minute. I wonder if it is out on the web somewhere...

Wear a helmet.
On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

Appears that video no longer exists online, found a link but the video has been removed but here's a video of other crashes of the era
