Does anyone know where I can get the center caps for my rims. They come off my donor car and I think they will look better than the wire spoke rims.

Your Pictures are not showing up, but I like these rims.
What pontiac did these rims come from?

According to this site they were an option on 1985-86 Sunbird's

Till today I've never seen Pontiac rims like that before.
Brian-
The rims you have are from an 86 Sunbird. The center cap on those should interchange with the earlier turbine wheel (like was optional on the 84s and standard on the 84 turbo. The rim cap also interchanges with later Pontiac 16" rims like I had on my 96 Grand Am. I will fish around for the part # for you later this weekend.
Thanks Spike and Paul, someone must have swapped the rims on my 1984 donor car sometime in the past 28 years.
I like the wire spoke hubcaps we have but think these rims will look better with the new paint job we had done last fall.
They are from an 84 sunbird but are 13 inch the ones posted by 84 conv are 14 inch and yes the center caps do inter change I believe Orlen did a post on these last year he had quite a few sets at that time of the 14 inch if i remeber correctly.

Here you go... The part # I used was14026820. The parts are still available on GM Parts Direct and will cost you $40. I sanded the clear off of my original rims and added these caps and they look new.
Thanks Paul, I am in the process of wire brushing my rims and hope to have them looking new. After you cleaned up your rims did you coat them with something?
Someone told me of a clear coat they make specifically for rims, don't know what it's called.
Brian - I left mine without the coating and just hit them with mothers aluminum polish about once a year. My car never even sees the rain anymore so they stay nice...
There are wheel shops that can refurbish any wheel and clear it like factory. The centers I just polish on mine, plastic cap with chrome finish.I plan on getting my wheels redone by a local place no damage just clear is worn off and lost its luster.I have the star wheel (alloy) that is painted in the grooved area and cleared but shiny alum on top or flat surfaces. You get all that I am sure you do.Idk how much on cost yet.
Ron, Checked on the refurb back in 2009 for the star wheel here in Mass. and it was like $100.00 per wheel and a full replacement was $129.00 so I just got the full replacements and now have a complete spare set. Prices might be cheaper in other parts of the country. Be interesting to see what other people paid.
Thanks Orlen, always forget about ebay. I don't need them for a while yet, the cars packed away for the winter.
Brian, when I was looking for the center caps so I could put 15 inch Z24 wheels on my '84 convertible, I went to a used wheel/hubcap dealer. The guy had a very clean set of center caps, but they were expensive. Sometimes if I really want something, I'll turn loose of the cash to do it with, and since my Cavalier is my hobby, I did it and haven't looked back. So since I turned a short answer into a long story, so to speak, check a used wheel/hubcap dealer.
If you have no luck, contact me and I'll check the place I went to, see it they've got a set and price em for you....
