I'm thinking about going back and getting the grille off of it. I will most definitely get some new shots with the new parts. It needs a new paint job anyway.
I still can't believe I found that front spoiler. I have only seen it in photos.

You could also score the cowl induction hood and the cold air intake. I'm sure there are some nice members here looking for those pieces that would be happy to pay you for the parts and your time. Congrats on the great score! Cheers...
I heard the cowl induction is functional (True?) if so, what hooks the cowl opening to the '87 Gen II motor?
Can a cowl hood be functional on an '86 LB6 motor, and what would be needed besides the hood itself?

@ orlen. The cluster had already been taken. I was hoping to find one for mine. @ Steve. I thought about grabbing the cowl hood. Someone had broken the air box and cut off the intake tube. @ john. Yes the first and second gen Z24 Cavs have a fully functioning cowl hood. I would think if yours is a fuel injected V6 it should be a direct bolt on. The 87 air box is by itself because it had a MAF sensor bolted to it. I would avoid this design if you don't need it. I believe from 88-94 they use the same air box. I have one leftover from my parts car.

Nice finds! Now the 86-94 to my knowledge with the cowl air box are the same.They fit the same,have the same design aside from the sensor that screws in that can be deleted for the early models.I am stupid tired so bare with me.The air box I got for steve is off of a 88/89 and if this part is removed the brackets that hold it tight are required along with the duct work piece.I have pics on steves thread for reference guys!So in short the second gens use the same parts and bolt right up.Nice front spoiler and yet to find one in my woods yet(feeling lucky) you have some for sure.

So Ron, you can have the MAF sensor deleted? That is great because I already have a complete air box setup off of an 89.
Idk why not bc your car had the normal hook up for the maf,so really just leaving the sensor in the air box,not plugged up being you already have a working maf as it is.Cannot say it should hurt a thing and more air is just more air in my thoughts.Unless my premise is not thinking that some how a cowl hood,with a box for air would create drama(I doubt that).Still wicked finds on the spoiler and wing.I wish I could find one,so I could get a mold made to duplicate it from a shop or fabricating facility.
I was just curious about that since '87 cars got the speed density update through a GM service campaign. Mine has both and I have wondered if the MAF still does anything.
Ron, I too am looking to obtain a chin spoiler for this exact reason. I have a buddy who works for an off-road racing/speed shop in California and have already talked with him about replicating this part. He has background to design the part on his CAD system and then submit it to one of his vendors for reproduction. AlI we need is an original part in reasonable condition. It's just a matter of time until we can all have one of these... provided we get the part!
