On a sadder note. The junkyard I used to haunt - the owner's son passed away. He was just 48 years old. High Blood Pressure - he didn't take his medicine - had a heart attack - now gone....
His parents are too old to run it and I don't think there is anyone else in the family to step in.
There is a HUGE yard in West Virgina that buys up these relatively small yards , haul everything off, crush almost everything and bulldozes the grounds . I guess there is 10...maybe a dozen J's destined to be shredded sometime soon.
I'm sure glad I got to get what I got while I was able to get it!!
So here is an unusual photo to be seen here on J-Body!! A Google -Earth screenshot off my Ubuntu - Linux computer...... Yeah, I'm a REBEL!!

You go with your bad self - thanks for sharing...
Sorry sign of the times........ Just like family run Funeral Homes and every other family run business the offspring think it is beneath them to run it or there is no one to inherit it. Just wish I was lucky enough to inherit a family business. On the lighter side, I stopped by my local yard and the 86 Sunbird is gone.....????? All the other Jbodys are there, looked around and it is nowhere to be found.
Any chance of you snagging some parts for me if they have any turbo j-bodies amigo?
Jeff
Story of my life. Yard has 50 3rd gens and they crush an 87 buick hatch before anyone can get any parts off it.
Sorry, no turbos about 8 1st gens and not one is a Turbo. Mostly 4 door sedan 1st gens and a few 2nd gen convertibles and 2nd gen 4 doors. Most cars have been there awile and are left open to the elements. There is one 83 or 84 sunbird vert that is almost a skeleton and rotting into the ground.

If I was you I'd pull everything off and in that Caddy that's not dented or ripped to shreds
