I have an 87 z24 and am in need of a working tach. I have two clusters but the tach doesn't work in either of them.
Anyone have one they are willing to part with? Anyone have a gauge cluster that the tach functions? That maybe the speedometer is broke but the tach works?
I have a spare instrument cluster that is the digital and assume yours is def that right?I pulled it from a 86 z and I have not tested it and have no idea how to.I would be willing to sell it and may try to learn how to test the cluster to see if it works so I do not sell you a dud.I have to work fri -sun so I may try to research it unless someone here tells me how to check it.I would sell it for what I paid plus total ship cost IF it works.

http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=47&i=4338&t=4338 Just make sure your signature is in the required specs inside the green screen and DO A PREVIEW before saving.It is easy to do and I have taken pics and soley adjust them on my end and downld to my cardomain or even photobucket and save then link it to my forum.If your pic is too big the preview will light it up in red saying your pic is beyond the limit pixel range.

Looks like there is the chin spoiler everyone is looking for to do a replication off of!!
It would be most helpful if you could take a photo of your dash so we can see which tach you have. I'm guessing it is the digital instruments, since it is a Z. J-Bodies had a bunch of different cluster styles in the 1st gens.
