Chin Spoiler Replication...

So... this seems to be the hardest to come-by part that many are looking for. Has anyone considered taking their spoiler off and into a fiberglass shop to have it used to create a mold to which parts could be fabricated? If someone was willing to do this, perhaps a number of us could split up the costs and then reap the benefits of not only each getting a front spoiler but then also being able to sell these (at a reasonable cost) to others seeking the same.

Do you guys think this would be a viable option? Could one of the original pieces be used to create a mold and then do you think people would be interested? Since the odds of obtaining this piece out right is rare to none, it seems at least in theory, it could be viable. Please join the conversation and let's kick some ideas around.

And, Happy 4th to everyone!

Depending on how it looks and the dimensions I may put it on my 2nd gen. I used garage door seal to make my lip kit around my car. Cost $10 lol. Looks amazing.

On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

I would be interested, as I plan on trimming out my plain cavy in z-24 trim. Finding one to use as a mold would be the hard part.

Fiberglass or FRP would be poor choices of material for that lip, unless you want to replace it every year.

Urethane would be pretty expensive to have cast and molded. I forget the name of it, but the same stuff your splash shields and bumper supports are made of would be best. Durable, self-repairs scratches, and relatively cheap. That would be the best choice.
