Is there a write up on how to remove the center console in my 87 z24 with a 5 speed?? I'm about to go out and do it.
Its definately easier if you pull out a seat
On my pontiac, the ash trays and shifter trim plate come off first, then bolts that hold the console to the floor. Shifter ball will have a blind allen key to loosen it.
If you post a pic, I can give you more specifics...
I got the cover off of the console but I got to get the bottom piece off. I'm going to remove the passenger seat tonight prolly also.
You should have a rear ash tray that will pull out. Once that is out there should be bolt or two holding the rear on. If you have the shifter plate off, there are two other bolts under there that hold the front on.
