Head Light Update?

What do you think me making some updates to my headlights? Something like this?

I have seen something before where 89? Monte Carlo lights will replace the quad 4x6 lights I have now. Not sure what to do with the fogs.

Looking to see what you all think.

Sure would look cool and have people wondering if Chip Foose had gotten a hold of your car. I've been toying with the idea of turning the brown Cav into a Cimmeron vert. The brown leather in a cav vert would be different.

A Cimmaron vert! Now that is something you don't see every day, or ever.

Neat idea. I am torn. I like the stock look, but an toying with this idea.

Paul, I like your idea. I think you'll might have to do some work with the plastic trim around your stock headlights tho. It would definitely make it stand out too!! :-)

John I had to do a quick check, 'cause I wasn't sure , but Cadillac only made 4 door sedans. That doesn't mean you can't do some swapping, but unfortunately the door panels won't be a part of it. The back seat is also a pain, as I found out in my Pontiac. The 4 door back seat is different. The seat bottom is wider, you have to take a dremel tool and literally cut out reinforcing rods inside the foam cushion on the sides so you can squeeze it inside the plastic 2-door trim in the back. The seat back is taller, and is a pain ....just a pain to get installed. I ran into issues with the seat belt mounts and bottom seat holes - and then the tangs fitting at the top didn't want to fit in the holes at the top of the bracket....you had to strike a compromise - I can only imagine it would only be worse on a convertible. I did manage to get the seat to work in my Pontiac, but I was one wore out sweaty puppy when I got R done!!

If you could find an early model....I know....wishful thinking, but as these 2 picts show, they look a very close match to the front end like you've got....makes me think what a similar front end would look like on my wagon! Also the back end looks swappable too. Put the Caddy emblems on, and the hood ornament and you could really mess with people!! :-)

.
I'd sure like to find a set of those wheels!

Yeah, It would be a boatload of work!! The interior seats would be better done by a professional as the seats in the vert are even smaller than a regular coupe. If I could get an 84 Cim with the correct tan interior it could work and think it would look better than this.

Well, I'll be dog gone, how about that John!! I think that looks pretty cool!! LOL , betcha no one would rob a bank and make that the getaway ride!! Ya just never know what you gonna see and learn on here, thats why I love this place!!
I copied that on my computer and enlarged it...looks like the wheelbase has been shortened, and has the front 2 doors of a 4 door...no back seat....looks as if you turned the wheel too hard you'd come back around and hit your back bumper!!

You might be able to fit Celebrity euro headlights with a little tweaking

Now these cimarron ones

If you turn them upside down and right to left they look like they might fit 1st gen cavalier grille.

1988-1998 Chevy C10 Projector headlights

I am planning on using these on my Wagon. I'll have to get the headlight buckets, mounting pieces etc. from a junk yard in order to mount them. Hopefully it won't required too much fabrication !
