No dash here, but LOVE the pic!!!
Neat car no question, and I am I think the general parts guy for 1st gens here.I have yet to pull a full dash pad and not sure how long it would take at a you pull it yard to remove for that matter.I clearly do not have the time right now to grab one but I assure you if I do get one what color would you want and yeah I will charge umm dearly for it just for my time, fuel and cost of part and shpg. That is one kick azz ride you have there.Post some engine pics please.
I was really just looking for a pic of stock dashs and later gen dashs. I'll be putting in a fiberglass one and want to see which may look better. Fiberglass website has no pics just assures me they are molds of stock dashes.
This is with the radiator out, doing major upgrades.
No engine and hacked the front off and started to rebuild frame to make strut front end.

Nice stuff there and that engine looks just like nothing in my cavalier?I feel cheated.Looks like you have some serious work to do.I might have a pic of my dash I will find and post it.
This is the option gage style from a 1984 Cav.
Thanks for the pics guys. I think im going to go with a genaric rounder one. I appreciate it. Now next question. I still have factory steel doors and factory trim. The door trim around the window where the window goes into the door is in rough shape. Know where i can get new or atleast a better set? Thanks for all your help.

1984 Cavy dash
1991 Cavy dash
Any dash from a 1982 - 1994 Jbody should fit with out any issue
btw nice ride
oh and if you're using the big pic as your sig you might want to change it before the mods notice it otherwise you will get a warning then a ban as I have in the past. It cannot be no larger than 500 pixels wide & 200 pixels tall, even 1 pixel larger will get you a 24hr ban
They offer a dash for a 05-95 which should have the rounder gauge cluster correct?

Those rubber molded window pieces are call window sweeps. And now the bad news there not available anymore(#$$FH) to be polite to gm .I will see if I can find some in better shape not cracked to death.I found a nice set wks back and they are umm staying with me.These are stupid hard to find but, will keep you in mind if I find some intact the whole rubber against the glass not broken. They are super fragile once cracked and know what you need.I might stick a pic up of some to verify your style but sure there exactly like mine on the 85.Ok ron
These should be the correct application on your doors right? See how nice and unbroken these are and obviously the set I am keeping for the sunny (my cavs name) and will try and find a better set for U specifically.Ok
I'll take a pic of the set i have and see what you think

Oh the 3rd gen dash, here's a pic of the dash
never seen one in a 1st or 2nd gen though.
here's your pic resized to 500x200 if you'd like to upload it to your profile to use as a sig
Thanks for the resize.

So dayamn wicked ....mean, Mean and MORE MEAN!
Sweet job on the dash - looks like came thata way :-)
Noticed the 'Stang II in the background - had my fair share of those back in the day - loved those cars.
The cavaliers remind me of a FWD & more effecient version of them - in fact I think they are close in weight and dimensions.

Thanks. He has a full house right now. Inside the shop there is mine, the mustang 2, a 2002 camaro, a 85ish Buick Grand National, a 95ish mustang, a 79 Vega, and a mid 90's porsche. The mid 90's porshe is in front of mine and you can sort of see it in one of the pics with the hood up. Outside the shop is a 70 nova, a 55 chevy, another 95ish mustang. In trailers parked outside are a bare chassis that will have a beretta body on it, another 70 nova, a stacker with 2 dragsters, and a 69 Camaro SS. There a few extra trailers including mine, another empty one with a dragster body in it, a one full of another guy's crap(the trailer has a broken axel and he got it towed there.) Always something to work on, always people there, and pretty much open 24/7. And always a jar of moonshine to pass around.

Nice little update of things.
Somebody's been very busy!! I got tired just looking at all the work done!!
I really like your choice of wheels - Awwwww, heck - I just really like your whole setup. I'm not a big drag racer nut, but this machine really is a work of art. This hatchback bodystyle looks fast just sitting in the garage!! If this thing could speak - I'd swear it would say " I'm bad , I'm bad , ....I'm Really Bad!!" That bit o' attitude helps at the track too I'd bet :-)
You've put a whole lotta hours in this machine, and it really shows. I looks as you've enjoyed you're labors. I'm dying to find out what color you choose to shoot it , but don't tell me!! I want to wait till you post the photos - I'll get to soak it all in then!!
It takes a lot of money and time in projects like these, and I'm glad you share a bit of the progress with us all!! Hope you can share some photos of your runs after you are finished!! After you get a few good passes, I'd say it'll be time to update your Sig!!

Considering your bodywork, I have Z-24 side pods that I want to install on my SkyHawk. What should I use to fill in the indented "Z-24" and smooth it out so that logo doesn't show?
I am no body man nor fiberglass man. I had all that work done elsewhere. But if it were mine i would probally use fiberglass to fill it in, as body filler just won't hole. I would probally remove the indent by cutting it out on the back side or punching it out so theres a hole there then laying new fiber and resin on the front and back to make it strong, then smooth it out.
