My 85 cavy vert type 10 needs a new home. It's a 4 speed manual with the 2.8.
As much as I want to keep it I just don't have the time or space anymore.
I started swapping on Z parts to it as you can see and do have a front bumper and skirts to put on it still. The interior is stripped out right now as I was cleaning it out, and swapping in 3rd gen seats.
It's having a random dying issue that I haven't been able to track down yet. It runs perfectly fine then randomly cuts out. You wait a few minutes and it fires right up like nothing happen. An electrical bug of some form I'm sure.
I want this to go to a good home and some one I know will give the car the chance it deserves.
I know this should have been in the classifieds but I know the 1st gen owners on this site are die hards so figured I would put it here.
PM me for more information the car is in North Brunswick NJ right now and I'm willing to let it go very cheap.
Want hub spacers rear disk brackets or trailing arm bushings? Shoot me a PM.
I would be willing to bet if you replace the battery cables the random kill goes away. I had that several years ago...
looks like a good project, 2.8 manual droptop is a fun combination. I have that with my bird.
I hope it goes to a good home. I wish I had a barn, I would take it off of your hands
What were u asking for it?
Yea it's killing me to have to let it go
Love this car.
Dale I shot you back a PM.

I was curious if the 3rd Gen seats were a direct bolt in , or did you need to do a mod?
Also curious what is on the corners of the Z hood?
Hey got any pictures of your J?
Seats are a direct bolt in and on the hood is tape my temp solution to the typical fiberglass splintering.
John you talking to me or him?

Thanks for the info!! :-) Never knew the 3rd gen seats were a direct bolt in!! :-O Been tinkering on my wagon for years- had it since 2002. Just got the 2000 Sunbird a few weeks ago from a buddy at work. Not a rocket scientist here, just an old country boy tinkering and learning as I go.
