Got the parts car on the road and need to figure out why I have no high beams. When I put on highs I have no lights (headlights) at all and the blue high beam indicator on dash is not lit. Swapped in new high beam lamp and still nothing. Bad headlight switch in column? Anybody ever seen this?

It more than likely is the arm on the column has bad contacts,or dirty.I would bet a bad arm and you do have to pull the steering wheel to do this to the best of my knowledge.Being All your lights work with the switch itself and low beams and kicking on the HIGH beams grounds out and no hdlights(bad switch most likely).You can rip into it and clean,with compressed air but,heck removing the steering wheel and column you might as well replace the assembly,and DO the turn signal assembly while your at IT.Ok

I would check the grounds on the lights themselves. Sounds like the switch is working as it is shutting off the low beams and illuminating the dash light.
