Does anyone know where i can find aftermarket parts for my 1987 chevy cavalier wagon base model is cs. Any info would help. And i know the junkyard but we only have 1 their and everything is gone except the body and frame.lol.
Autozone has many things (they seem to be the best for inventory of available parts), but what are you looking for?
ebay. get some z24 body parts, and make a z24 looking wagon.
i need racing seats, new steeringcolumn, engine parts, aftermarket gauges,a body kit would be nice, new tailight, im sure you get the drift
so other than the tail light and steering column, everything can be found in the usual stores.
ebay may be one of your best bets for those two items as the wagon light may be a tough find. You may be able to use a 2G steering column, but snooping around online for other junkyards would be the best bet. Even craigslist.
Sweet - do a Eurosport VR looking cavi wagon!!!
their is nothing on ebay which i can find. Craigslist sucks no one rocks a first gen let alone a wagon. I think im just going to sell it
If you want exterior parts, your stuck to custom fab, or second hand. Basically, the 88-94 gen2 clips will mount on a gen1. So you can get a second hand Diza kit or something.
If you want engine parts, well you've got a lot of GM v6's to choose from. 2.8, 3.1, 3.4, turbo 3.5, 3.8 supercharged...
All the info is out there, but you're on the wrong site for it.
go to www.v6z24.com
...
I have a steering column.
Shawn, most 1st. gen j's have parts that will interchange with yours.
Note... I said MOST :>
not all.Turbo cars had better suspensions and quicker steering ratios.
Wheels is a no brainer, same for exhaust.
Seats I could help you with as i'm parting out a turbo Buick
with the t-type interior. Think Buick Grand National style, black-gray-red.
Most stick-ons can be gotten at auto zone/pep boys-napa, etc.
Even some import stuff can be fabbed to work.
Please don't put a wing on the roof! Pretty please, don't!!!!!! And oh those hubcaps that
keep on spinning when you stop, is a no-no.
Good luck, don't give up. The idea is to have something unique from the normal
types of cars. Best part is you can say "I did it myself" ! not some cookie cutter car.
