While I have been reconditioning my brakes, I have been upgrading to Stainless Steel (SS) brake hoses. I have 2/4 done and there is already a noticeable improvement in pedal feel.
Just thought I would share.
So, where did you get them, and how much? I you don't mind my asking. I've got the new rubber hoses to replace mine, but just haven't got around to it. (sounds like I may end with new calipers from broken bleeders...
)
and just curious, why not do all 4 at once?
I found them on eBAY. They were listed for $63 with the best offer option.
I got them for $40 shipped (that was my offer).
The plan was to do 4 at once... Just running into problems with brittle old lines. Better buy a flare wrench set of you are gonna touch yours. They like to strip. It sounds like an easy project, but it is a PITA if something breaks.
I'm assuming he only had the one set?
yeah, already have the flare wrenches... just really not looking forward to it.
Nope, many sets. I am sure there is one with your name on it. I can post the link if you want.
Hey, thanks! I'm gonna offer $40 shipped, and take back my rubber lines.
Offer denied...
You sure you only offered $40 shipped, and not $40 plus shipping?
I just checked eBay. It was $40 + shipping...
Paul,
Just wondering if you'd had any issues with these brake lines. Well............
They installed clean and look great - send me an email at paul.steepe@hp.com and I will send you the before / after pics. I ended up doing wheel cylinders (Thanks Tony! - 2literturbo), rear drums, pads, springs, and front calipers, as well as a complete bleed - brakes are awesome now!!
