Hey all my cousin has an 1986 cavalier race car. The engine spun a rod, he had it rebuilt and now cannot get it to fire. He can pick up a newer fuel injected 2.0 cheap. The question is what all interchanges between these engines as far as crank ,rods ,pistons ,the whole bottom end? Or are these 2 totally different engines? Any help is much appreciated thanks

Andrew.... totally different engines. Yours has a USA engine, we have Brazillion OHC engines, speaking for Buick and Pontiac turbo cars .
