I have an OEM shifter with knob, but I'm all the way in zip 19609. I'll also mention i have an OEM 2004 catalytic converter, because of your sig. You drive and you can have both for twenty bucks.

I've got both... but the only problem with the shifter assembly is the side to side pivot pin gets broken when you install the short shifters. If the plastic one doesn't go back in place, its going to cause malfunction of the shifter coming out of 5th gear. I had this problem with my sunfire when I first got it and wondered why it wouldn't come out of 5th smoothly. My plastic pivot pin was broken and 1/2 out.
So you may just want to leave it on there if your trying to sell the car. The only way to get that pivot pin is buying a whole new assembly.

correct...its in the top part of this picture passing through the upper white mechanism with yellow grease smeared on the end. In the short throw kits, there is usually a blue aluminum one which replaces the plastic one which you have to break in order to get it out.
Damn so you have to break it to remove it huh? So the one in my car is undoubtably not going to work without a new housing?
